New Year's Eve

Grandpa took us to Macaroni Grill for lunch before we headed home.

They were all checking out the Christmas decorations at the restaurant.

A group picture before we left town.

Hurricane Emma at work.

She even tried to climb up...

Leaving the scene after the crime.

She loves the chair and ottoman Auntie Bo Bo has sent her.

Look how happy she is!

A Visit to Portland, Oregon

We drove down to Portland, OR to check it out and stayed overnight.

Emma and Anpanman

Emma was wearing the Tommy outfit that Angelica had given her and also the Anpanman stockings I bought in Japan a year ago.

Look at her go with her stroller.

She tackled Eeyore to the floor.

We drove around in Bainbridge Island and came upon this amazing view.

We also saw the ferry coming back from Seattle.

Getting Ready To Go Out

We were getting ready to head out for a drive but Grandpa Chevo wanted a picture beforehand. As you can tell, the sun was out that day.

A Day In Seattle

This picture was taken as the ferry was pulling out of the Bremerton port.

Grandpa and his cell phone...

She had a lot of fun running around the ferry boat.

Posing with Daddy and Uncle Sergio.

Grandpa was posing with the Seattle skyline in the distant background (you can see the Space Needle if you squint your eyes except for Kay who has 20/15).

Now it was Matthew's turn.

The tourists were posing in front of the Pike Place Market.

Chilling With Grandpa

She was not afraid of grandpa...

As long as Daddy was close by.

Merry Christmas

She kept moving the gifts around.

She even fought Matthew for his present.

And she just took it away from him.

This one was hers.

She stacked them up.

Then moved them around the living room.

Matthew and his snow Marine.

Guarding the fort against the enemies.

She saw her brother with his hood on.

She didn't like it on so she took it off.

And sat right on his lap.

Our self-portrait.

She couldn't reach the microwave so she used a cushion for a little lift. Is she smart or what?

The "birthday cake" and serving knife were one of her gifts.

Emma's New Kitchen

We gave Emma this kitchen a day early and she loved it. By the way Winnie, do you like her booties?

Look at her chopping away with that knife.

She was probably trying sharpen the knives.

Emma and the Christmas Tree

I was doing something in the kitchen and all of a sudden I heard her bawling. So I ran to see what happened.

And I saw her under the tree but couldn't get my camera quick enough before she crawled out from under it. It would have been a great picture if my camera was handier.

Running Away

She looked like she was ready to run away.

She even waved bye bye.

But she probably forgot that the door was downstairs instead of up...

Emma's Mealtime

She refused to eat and kept pushing the spoonful of food aside so I let her calm down by walking away. This was how I found her when I came back after a few minutes...

Snowed In

The snow started overnight.

Chevo still had to go to work and he was able to get his SUV down the hill but his return home wasn't that easy.

We went out in the afternoon for some fun in the snow.

She had her rain boots on since she did not own any snow boots (we never thought she'd need them here).

She was not too sure about the snow at first.

But she was used to it shortly after we were outside.

She kept checking out the snow on her pants.

And the snow on her gloves.

She was stuck in the snow at one point.

Chilling out in the back of Daddy's car while he was trying to put the snow chains on (but they didn't fit so we had to wait until the next day to pick the SUV up from a block away).

She saw my sunglasses and wanted to try them on.

She even knew where to put them when we were indoor!

"Looking cool but I am not too sure..."

"Maybe they go on this way..."

"Oops...please don't tell Mommy..."
