Gymnastic & Sport Shorts

Hanging like a monkey in her NY Yankee cheerleader outfit (thank you, auntie Christina and uncle Erik!)

We had an hour and twenty minutes break between her gymnastic and sport shorts classes. So we went to a local park for lunch (I packed two, one for each of us). She liked the motorcycle.

Then she rode the ducky too.

After feeding her for 15 minutes on a bench and distractions from 2 dogs who were walking with their owners, I gave in and put her on the seesaw so she would finish her meal.

Sorry the video is a bit shaky. I had to bounce so she would too.

"Oh no, the ball is stuck!"

She looked so funny when the ball was stuck in the net.

"Maybe I'll hit a home run with 2 bats instead of 1..."

I should send this to the Yankee recruiters.

Birthday Celebration

Emma and Chevo took me out to a seafood dinner for my birthday.

We walked around in the Bremerton Downtown area. The restaurant was right next to Seattle-Bremerton Ferry terminal.

Emma with mommy.

She was checking out the water fountain.

"Hi!"

She really liked the water display.

Family picture time.

Going down the stairs with mommy and daddy.

She was really fascinated with the water shooting up to the other fountain.

She kept calling the little boy statue: "哥哥" (meaning older brother in Chinese - kids are taught to call older individuals brother, sister, aunt or uncle instead of their names).

She was probably wondering why they were not moving...
The balloons were making her all hair stand up.

And taking them around the house.

Tulip Festival

We stopped by a local playground in Skagit County where the Tulip Festival was held.

Coming down the slide.

This was the daffodil field we visited.

It looked very impressive.

My girl and me.

Going into the next "aisle".

She sat down since she didn't want to leave.

So she needed a little encouragement.

The tractor tire park was right next to the tulip field (in the background).

Checking it out first...

"Hey daddy, why aren't you in here with me?"

"That was fun!"

The tulips were gorgeous!

Coming from the tire park to join me in the tulip field.

Just running around and checking out the beautiful flowers.

Running away from us...
Daddy caught up to her.

Sorry the video is a bit shaky. I had to keep up with her.

Potluck Party

We were at the home of Chevo's coworker for a potluck. It was to farewell a PA and to welcome a new doctor. Emma and two other kids at the party were playing in the yard.

Grace and Jacob are the kids of another coworker of Chevo. Grace was upset because her dad made her let Jacob play catch with her tennis ball.

Checking out the fountain.

She wanted to see if there were any coins in it.

Watching Jacob play catch.

The Traveling Pants

Playing with the 'nana' peels after she was done with it.

Mimi, Sam Sam and Soy Yee, do you recognize those jeans?

A little long...

A bit baggy...

They were Bao Bao's 2T jeans that he wore up until he was almost 4 years old. These are some magical pants like the ones from "The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants" because they fit such different sizes/shapes of monsters...um, I mean toddlers.

Emma with "my" birthday present from Ivy.

She wanted it as soon as I opened the package.

So she carried it everywhere, even when she was climbing on the bench.

"Hi!"

Going up the stairs with it while showing off her "new" jeans.

She wouldn't let go of it even if it meant she had to drag it along.

Emma in action.

Family pic before nap time.
