Emma and Her Easter Bunny

"Hi, bunny rabbit."

She figured out how to get the bunny to start singing and ear flapping.

The bunny rabbit was one of Emma's Easter presents from Tia Christine and Tio Kevin.

Hello Kitty

Emma was wearing her Hello Kitty vest and shirt set.

"I wonder if KiKi 表姐 likes hers."

Leaving again?

Pooh and Jay Jay the Jet Plane

Navigating for Pooh Pooh.

"Hey, we need to fly higher!"

With Jay Jay.

Kitsap Mall

We spent the morning in Kitsap Mall. Our first stop was the mall's playground.

It got crowded so we moved on.

We went to Barnes & Noble to play with their Thomas the Engine train table.

She was playing with the engines and trains by picking them up instead of moving them along the tracks. She needs to take a course with Bao Bao.

She was trying to attach Thomas to the back of Proteus (you don't want to know how long it's taken me to find the name of the yellow engine).

I think she likes Thomas the most as well.

Pushing them out the door.

From Emmama to Bao Bao (please play for Bao).

Then we enjoyed some pretzel bites from Pretzel Time.

Emma the Escape Artist

She turned the basket upside down and used it as a step stool.

Realized I was taking picture and she even posed for me...

Trying to escape...this could possibly be the youngest runaway in the U.S. history.

Lunch With Ginny

She was quite glad that we were home since she could run wild again.

We had lunch buffet at a local Indian restaurant with our good friend Ginny. You may remember her from the very beginning of Emma's website since she was my birthing coach. Emma still remembers her.

Central and Victoria Peak

Behind us is the Central-Mid-Levels escalators which happens to be the longest outdoor covered escalator system in the world.

The building behind us is the decommissioned Central District Police Station. It's one of the last structures that reminds people of Hong Kong's colonial heritage.

The Hong Kong's way to do scaffolding...

With bamboo sticks!

Tied with some kind of plastic fasteners. I wonder why we don't see this kind of scaffolding in America. (Hints: McDonald's, Burger King, etc.)

The night view from Victoria Peak. It was so sad since this was our last full day in Hong Kong...

Ngong Ping Cable Car To Tian Tan Buddha

Getting ready to board the Ngong Ping cable car from Tung Chung. Emma stayed home with grandma Long for some much needed rest since our nonstop trip so far.

Our ultimate destination.

Being silly in Ngong Ping Village.

The emperor and empress.

The newlyweds.

Posing at the bottom of the Tian Tan Buddha which is the tallest, seated, outdoor bronze Buddha statue in the world. We had to climb 268 steps to get to the feet of the Buddha.

This was toward the end of the Wisdom Path.

We arrived at the giant wood columns which had the Heart Sutra (波羅蜜多心經) inscribed on them.

Then we went back to Avenue of the Stars so Tuan and Alice could take some pictures.

Emma's Haircut

The coin-operated rides used to cost me 25 cents but nowadays it's more like 50-75 cents.

Emma was getting ready for her 2nd haircut (of her life) in Hong Kong, of all places.

I was there for support - both emotionally and physically!

Her hairdresser was styling - short shorts and long boots.

She looked so mature in this picture.

Blow drying it straight for an even cut.

Ta-da!

Back In Hong Kong

Chevo needed a restroom break so we were just people watching while waiting for him.

On the train toward Kowloon to meet up with my aunt Mandy, my uncle Phillip-san, and my cousins.

We stopped by the Avenue of Stars and ran into the old Ford Model T displayed at the mall.

Emma was enjoying her thumb while daddy was posing.

We of course had to take one with Bruce Lee.

With the Hong Kong Island skyline in the background.

Chevo, the director.

Daddy and Emma.

Grandma Long and her youngest sister, Mandy.
