Departure

At noon, we went to watch Shrek the Third with Kaiden... But because he didn't nap, he fell asleep during the first half (boring)... and missed the really funny second half! He really would have loved the whole ending... especially Shrek's babies...

Since there wasn't enough car space, he didn't see us off to the airport.. and because he fell asleep again by then (5PM), I didn't get to say goodbye to him.......... :*(

Because of the thunderstorms in NYC, the ramps were closed (since it's too dangerous for the crews to work in such conditions), therefore many flights were cancelled and/or delayed. We were supposed to board at 7:20... but didn't get to until 9:30.

Emma sleeping on our legs together... since Jess didn't want her to get used to being held.. haha her bed is my right leg combined with Jessica's left leg.. I think she slept like this for about an hour!

We finally arrived to Seattle around 2:30 AM, and got all our luggage okay. Since it was so late, Jess had to driving home directly, since the last ferry to Bremerton was around 12AM and the next one at 6AM. So we got home around 3-4 AM!

Last Day with Kaiden :*(

Today is the second to last day in NYC for us (Mama, Jess, and Emma) before we return to Washington. I am going to live in Bremerton for the next 4-5 months to help take care of Emma(when Jess goes back to work). Anyway, I made an appointment to take Kaiden out (but since I'd have no other time to see my own friends, I met up with them to go to the beach along with Kaiden).

He was so tired, but wouldn't go to sleep at all...

At the beach, he's all smiles because he loves playing with the sand... and because Laura & Mandy jeh jeh bought him a big set of sand toys!! !!!

There aren't any Emma pics today............ because someone was lazy........ *AHEM JESS!*

40th Day

HAHAHA sleeping piggies... in the morning around 8AM

Since we're leaving in two days, Emma and Jess had a ladies' lunch in Chinatown today... At Kobma Restaurant "Kay Tsui" with: Mama, Ivy, Laura, Bo Bo, Sam, Winnie, Me, Fei Mei (NO SHOW!), Lisa, Steve, Stephanie, Melodie, and Karrie. We took over more than half the small restaurant, but it was fun to be loud and laugh with all our friends.... all who had taken a long lunch just to see us hahaha...

Anyhow, since Steve and Lisa were coming into Flushing for dinner, they let us take Stephanie alone on the Subway for the first time! (keep in mind I've been taking Kaiden out on Subways alone since March 2006 when he was only ~1.5 yrs old)

Picnic

Stephanie's Chinese School hosts a picnic every summer to cap off the school year, and to raise funds for other school activities. Steve, Lisa, and his girls have been attending for the previous two years, and so he invited Emma to go this year.

Fei Mei yee yee!!!! She was in the city because she had to assist her grandmother. She wasn't able to make the banquet though, and we missed her.. Actually, I mean, I missed her.. because she helped wash the dishes after I cooked every time. :*( And she was a great cooking partner!

We left shortly after the watermelon course, because the heat and the bugs were getting the best of our patience....

Later at home, we cut a cake to celebrate Karrie's 3rd birthday early, because Mama, Jess, Emma and I are leaving NYC to return to Seattle on June 27th, and will miss her actual birthday on July 3rd. (And yes, there will be fireworks following on the 4th to celebrate Kiki's 3rd birthday... :: sigh.... :: We spoil her.)
