A Surprise Awaits Us In HK!

We encountered a lot of turbulence en route to Hong Kong which caused our plane to use more fuels than expected so our pilot had to make a refueling stop in Taipei. This delayed our flight another 1.5 hrs on top of the fact that we were running 30 minutes behind schedule. So we were exhausted as you could imagine (unbeknown to us, so were Sam and Bao Bao since they'd been waiting for us this whole time).

My mom was supposed to pick us up at the airport but instead we saw Bao Bao and Sam waiting for us! As you can tell, Emma had totally forgotten about her exhaustion.

The parents of my brother-in-law, Ken (aka Ball Ball), were so kind to loan us their apartment in Hong Kong so we could saved some $$$. After putting up our luggage and changed into Summer clothes (HK was in the 70s vs. Bremerton was in the 40s), we went to Shatin to meet up with my Aunt Mandy and my cousins for dinner.

But of course, we had to stop by the Snoopy's World 1st.

It was quite difficult to get both of them to look into the camera.

There was also a playground in the park. She of course had to get on the slide.

My cousin, Ching Ching, and Bao Bao were riding a canoe paddle by Snoopy.

Emma and I were in the one behind them.

We then went to Lung Wah Hotel for dinner to have some roasted, soy sauced and fried pigeons.

At the end of the day, we were all so tired...
