A Busy Day

Our friend, Jo Ann, is deploying to Kuwait.

The hospital hosted a farewell ceremony for those who were deploying.

Selma is Jo Ann's best friend who flew from San Antonio, TX to celebrate her birthday and bid her farewell.

We came home afterward and I let her draw some more.

I guess I haven't learnt my lesson, huh?

Took my eyes away from her for a few minutes and the result...

Before her nap, she helped me bake.

I was making red velvet cupcakes but somehow she thought a little seasonings might help.

She was a really good sous chef even though I didn't always understand her...

The Hello Kitty apron is actually an art apron but hey, it works!

When daddy came home they were ready to go for a "hike" (aka walk around the neighborhood).

She donned Matthew's gears and was ready to go.

She was very excited to get going.

Everyone was ready and I was excited to get an hour to myself (even though I spent it cooking).
