We've discovered that Emma's definitely a night-baby. She's awake and alert at night time, always wanting to be fed. But now, she's been fast asleep for about 2 hrs, after her bath. She had a good sponge bath today from her MOMMY today! ALL BY HERSELF!
This is Jess with her good friend, Ginny Otto. Ginny and Erica were by her side throughout the labor. I don't have Erica's picture on hand, so we'll just talk about Ginny for now. Ginny was Jess' birthing coach completely...even though she doesn't work in Labor & Delivery anymore! (She snuck away to be here for Jess... haha I hope none of your bosses are reading this, Ginny!!!)
She and Nurse Carly made sure that Jess was comfortable, and tried out all different positions to push, suggested Jess sit on the exercise ball to relieve some of the contractions' pain on her lower back, and also try out the cool labor tub (basically a very wide and deep bath tub to sit in to try and relieve and ease her pain...) Anyway, Ginny was also the official breathing coach and even sat behind Jess during the birth to provide her support to push. BASICALLY.. a human back cushion.. haha

I want to hold UMMH-aah!!!!!
I like Emma's purple (I think) gora (head gear). I want one like that. I also like how Mommy wraps her up like a little burrito- so pretty!
