Emma's One Month

It is a common tradition for Chinese families to host a party to introduce newborns at the age of one month. If you're unfamiliar with this, you can read more about it here: An Egg and A Name.

Emma had a little gathering of people tonight at a restaurant to celebrate her one month old birthday. If she didn't know already, there are a LOT of people who love her but haven't even met her yet! She was definitely like a celebrity tonight, taking photos with every bystander.... haha just kidding... I mean, every guest.

Unfortunately, we were unable to invite the whole village that our family and friends are, since it was a smaller event. However, we are very grateful for all the gifts, time, and laughs that you all brought to share with us. Thank you.

The invitation created by Emma's oldest aunt, Winnie.

See..... I told ya Sam was popular with the ladies.. haha just kidding, Sam made them laugh by making fun of them....

our brother Steven "guu guu" with Emma.....

it was hilarious because right when he held Emma, she started crying... and so I/we who were around him instinctively said "OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOH!!!!!!!!!!!!" as if to imply he was making her cry on purpose. BUT funny thing is, when we did that, EVERYONE ELSE in the room stopped, looked over, and said "OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOH!!!!!!!!" with us......... and then broke into laughter... hahahaha I've never seen my brother so nervous, trying to defending himself against such a large crowd of people and pleading for his innocence..

Steve sitting next to dad...

Stephanie was having a great time playing with Benjamin (BMW)
